Designers, move on
Walking to #ICCSS through the beautiful #ArtNoveau streets of #Helsinki, reminded me how tired the sleek, smooth, white, cold, clinical design of modern technology has become. We are so in need of great tech designers who can reinvent and update the modern organic design of Art Nouveau, and later Art Deco. I'm not talking about the SteamPunk aesthetic, with its industrial bleakness. I'm thinking of the more sunny optimism of Art Nouveau. At this point I would prefer baroque to the sleek and smooth design of Apple tech ubiquity.
